Fashion Week for Fall/Winter 2010 is over…the Winter Olympics are on…those are the headlines of my past week.  My inbox was full of things to tell you about; here's what made my radar this week:

  • Illamasqua, the edgiest, nighttime makeup
brand, is looking for the next hot Nail Varnish
color, and beginning on February 21, 2010, it could be created by you!
Submit a description of your dream color and what inspired it
, along with an image or photograph, and you could have your shade created by Illamasqua.

To enter, in 50 words or less, submit a
description of your dream color and what inspired it; pictures, photographs, swatches, etc. to
Illamasqua. You can submit only ONE entry and entries can be submitted by email to: competition@illamasqua.com.
The contest is open globally
from Feb 21, 2010 through March 14, 2010.
Good luck!

  • Are you dying to get your hands on some new Spring makeup?  Chanel.com is celebrating the launch of their new user-friendly website with complimentary shipping this weekend. While you're browsing, check out the new Les Trompe L’Oeil
de CHANEL Temporary Skin Art. First seen at the CHANEL Spring-Summer 2010
Ready-to-Wear runway show, Les Trompe L’Oeil de CHANEL Temporary Skin
    Art
was created by Peter Philips, Global Creative Director of CHANEL
    Makeup.

“For the show, I wanted to play with the CHANEL symbols; pearls,
chains and wheat, as well as blossoms and small swallows that announce
the arrival of spring,” says Peter Philips. “I focused on a natural makeup
look with chic beige tones and a slight touch of rebellion: the tattoos!”  Les Trompe L’Oeil de CHANEL Temporary Skin
Art
will be available for a limited time exclusively at Chanel.com,
CHANEL boutiques and CHANEL Makeup Studios and retail at $75.00 for a package of five sheets, which includes
a total of 55 designs. Do you like them? I think they look really cool, especially the ones around the wrist.  Sexy!

  • Fall Fashion Week has just ended, but there were some definite trends coming out of the shows.  Pantone released it's color palette for Fall/Winter 2010 and the number one color for Fall is called "Purple Orchid"; a bright purple. Another favorite is Lipstick Red. Check out the PANTONE Fashion Color Report Fall 2010 and see all the beautiful colors that will be making their way into fashion and beauty, including nail colours, for Fall.
  • If you're looking for something to do this week, Shecky's has upcoming an Girls Night Out on Feb. 24-25 in Philadelphia and Dallas.  While you're there, you can sip on delicious cocktails, shop for designer fashions at amazing prices,
partake of beauty services and – the icing on the cake – get one of the fabulous Goodie Bags. For more information, go to Sheckys Girls Night Out.  Sounds like a ton of fun!

That's it for this weekend…hope you enjoy yours, whatever you're doing and GO Team USA!
