Womanity, the new fragrance from Thierry Mugler, is named for the invisible link that binds all women together. In his own words, “It’s a musical fragrance tuned to the emotions of the woman who wears it.”
Thierry Mugler’s first fragrance, Angel, was one of the first to incorporate chocolate in it’s composition. Mugler has broken tradition again with Womanity by developing a sweet/savory note of fig and caviar. The fragrance is grounded by a woody accord of fig wood and leaf. Overall, it’s an interesting blend
Like Angel, Womanity shares a bottle that makes a lasting impression. The rose-colored bottle is simple and elegant. At the top, sits a frieze, a single phrase engraved in a mysterious language. Then, a ring that connects, symbolizing Unity and a chain that links the frieze and the ring, signifying curiosity, sharing and solidarity. This is a perfumer that thinks of each detail, including that each bottle is refillable, making Womanity a renewable resource.
I was able to sample the collection and the first thing that struck me is that it’s unlike any other fragrance I’ve ever tried – a good thing! One characteristic I also noted is that the fragrance lasts a long time, as do the body products. The body products can be used to layer, but I can also recommend wearing the Body Milk or Body Cream on it’s own. The fragrance is substantial enough that you can do that.
