Gucci Guilty Eau de Toilette is a hot, new fragrance; striking the perfect bouquet as we transition into Fall.  With a sexy ad campaign featuring Evan Rachel Wood and great packaging, I predict this fragrance will be a huge success for the Gucci brand.

Gucci Guilty is classified as a “floriental”, with top notes of mandarin and pink pepper; a heart of peach, lilac and geranium and a base of amber and patchouli.  When I wear it, I seem to get the big burst of spicy pepper first, but as it evolves, I like the way I pick up on the lilac.  I’m not a big fan of patchouli; thankfully the amber notes balance out. Overall, it’s a nice fragrance and I have gotten compliments when I’ve worn it.

As an eau de toilette, it’s not designed to be as long lasting as an eau de parfum, so I wasn’t surprised that the fragrance didn’t wear all day. Gucci Guilty is the first bottle to feature the famous interlocking G symbol and the bottle is striking.  In addition to the fragrance, a body line includes Shower Gel, Body Lotion and Shimmer Powder.  I’d buy the Shimmer Powder now, for the holiday season.
