L’Oreal Professional recently launched a breakthrough product called INOA (Innovation No Ammonia) haircolor. While in New York for Fashion Week, I had the opportunity to learn about INOA from celebrity colorist Jason Backe of the Ted Gibson Salon.
Jason, in addition to being a fantastic colorist, is also an excellent educator. He explained to me that INOA is a three step process that features an oil delivery system technology that maximizes the effectiveness of the permanent haircolor process while providing 2x more lipid protection to hair. Whew! That’s more science than I expected at a salon!
Jason then proceeded to color my hair using the INOA system. In terms of color selection, which I left entirely up to him, he selected a shade that he called “deeper, richer and sexier” than what I currently had (I was all for that!). As he applied the INOA haircolor, it was remarkable that there was no smell or irritation! Although INOA haircolor services retail at approximately 20% higher than traditional color services, Jason told me that of all the INOA coloring he’s done since starting to use the line in January, only 1 client has chosen to return to traditional color.
I love the feel of my hair and the color is beautiful–mission accomplished, Jason! I will definitely seek out a salon that uses the L’Oreal Professional INOA haircolor system for my next color appointment.
