At the Carolina Herrera fashion show this week, the look for Fall/Winter 2011 builds on her penchant for natural elegance, with simple but strong lines and luxurious fabrics in silk, velvet and suede.
Hair was created by Orlando Pita for Moroccanoil. The hair was styled into a modern, sleek reverse bun with a deep side part. Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream was used prior to blow-drying the hair with a roundbrush. Once styled, Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray was applied.
On the face, makeup was by Diane Kendal for MAC Cosmetics and the look was a flawless, fresh face. The eyes were lined with Black Creme Liner, applied with a delicate hand over the lashline only, with a slight kick at the outer corner. Haute & Naughty Mascara was applied over upper lashes only. Lips were a focal point, with Prince Noir lipstick applied with fingers to give a sheer stain. Studio Careblend Pressed Powder (I’m testing it now, look for a review soon!) was applied onto center of face for a polished effect.
Manicurist Wanda Ruiz for CND created a Crown Jewel Manicure using two coats of Dark Ruby topped with Super Shiney Top Coat to complete the elegant look.
