The 411:  I received samples of the M·A·C Quite Cute Collection to preview. Although this isn’t what I would consider my color palette, there are products that will have universal appeal.  I love the Mineralize Blushes in this collection. Giggly is the perfect spring shade of blush; plus, how can you not love a blush that has a heart in the middle? Same with the nail collection; the colors remind me of the candy hearts that are out at Valentine’s Day and do look good on.

The Cutie Eye Shadow X4 was my biggest disappointment of the collection.  While I love the color combination, the quality of the pigmentation was not up to the usual M·A·C standards. I found that unless I used my #239 brush and really pushed into the shadow, it was hard to get any color payoff.

As far as lip shades, I just don’t have the right coloring to pull pastels off–with dark hair and blue eyes, jewel tones are more flattering. The Plushglass in Bubble Tea was definitely a shade that almost anyone could wear, however.

The M·A·C Quite Cute Collection will be available on April 7, 2011 at all M·A·C locations and  www.maccosmetics.com.
