Time to check in with my weekly Nutrisystem Update and when thinking about the past week, it seems the main theme I’ve been dealing with is stress.  As someone who normally turns to food when I’m stressed, it’s been a challenge not to fall back on old behaviors.

Working in sales is a very stressful job and in the past, I would mindlessly eat as a coping mechanism.  I need a way to break that behavior, so this past week when I’ve been feeling especially stressed and challenged, instead of reaching for cheese and crackers, I’ve been reaching for carrots.  And if I’m not in the mood for carrots, then I’ll have a few strawberries or some blueberries.  What I’ve learned is to anticipate that these moments will come up and have a plan for beating them by having healthy fruits and vegetables available.

Next week I’ll be out of town on business, so I won’t be eating my usual Nutrisystem meals.  I’ve planned ahead, however.  I ordered Nutrisystem Breakfast bars and Nutrisystem Lunch bars (Peanut Butter & Jelly, yum!).  I’ll be taking Tuna Salad, which comes in a pouch and doesn’t need refrigeration. I’ll use the App on my phone to keep me on track, in terms of getting in the correct number of veggies and proteins and plan requirements.  I think I’ll do OK. I won’t have access to a computer or a scale, though, so I won’t know how I’ve done til I get home.

This week I lost a total of 2.4 lbs., bringing my total weight loss to 27.8 lbs. since March 13th. Do you have any strategies for staying on a weight-loss plan while out of town on business?  Let me know in the comments!  And if you would like to lose weight and eat healthier, visit Nutrisystem today or call 888-853-4689 for more information.
