The 411: I recently asked Dr. David Colbert, Director of the New York Dermatology Groups if all SPFs are created equally or if are there certain ingredients to look for in a sunscreen. He recommends looking for a broad spectrum sunscreen that blocks both UVA and UVB rays, because that is both antiaging and protective. The one you choose should feel good on your skin and not oily. If you’re on the beach, use water resistant sunscreen and always reapply every 3 to 4 hours.
