Great news! The stall that I hit last week has ended. Even though I knew was temporary, it sure is more motivating when the scale moves. Read on for this week’s Nutrisystem update….
I had an interesting thing happen to me this week that I thought was worth sharing. Since starting Nutrisystem, I prepare and pack a lunch every day. When I reached for my lunch bag a couple days ago, I realized I had forgotten to put it in the car. What to do?
For a brief second, I stressed as the choices ran through my mind and realized this was a real moment of truth; a test of the Old Me versus the New Me. Old Me would stop at a McDonald’s or Applebee’s, order a salad or a small hamburger and rationalize I was doing the best I could under the circumstances. These kinds of real-world scenarios are going to happen to me whether or not I’m on Nutrisystem, so I knew I had to think my way through this.
I remembered there was a Target in the area–with a grocery section. And that was the answer…the New Me was in charge! I stopped at Target and bought a container of Chobani yogurt (140 calories/13 grams of protein), mini carrots and an apple. Not exactly a Nutrisystem meal, but I knew that it would be enough to stay on track until I got home. I felt successful on two counts–not only did I think my way through the problem, but the solution reinforced that I could face an obstacle without sabotaging my hard work. Behavior modification…I think I’m getting it!
The scale is moving again this week with a loss of 3 lbs., for a total weight loss to date of 39 lbs. If you would like to lose weight and eat healthier, visit Nutrisystem today or call 888-853-4689 for more information. Have you ever been confronted with a “Moment of Truth”? How did you handle it?
