A road trip across America was the inspiration for the new Touring America Collection, which revives classic, iconic colors for fall. Suzi Weiss-Fleishmann, OPI Executive VP and Artistic Director explains, “Together, the locales that inspired Touring America make up a rich palette of color complementing trends from the runway, where we saw a mix of feminine details and dramatic menswear touches.”
The OPI Touring America Collection includes the following 12 shades:
- Red/orange family: Are We There Yet? (melon), I Eat Mainely Lobster (coral), My Address is “Hollywood” (rose-pink), Color to Diner For (rosey-red).
- Taupes and grays: Suzi Takes the Wheel (gray), French Quarter for Your Thoughts (gray), A-taupe the Space Needle (taupe), Get in the Expresso Lane (dark brown)
- Urban neutrals: Honk if You Love OPI (dark grape), Road House Blues (“really blue”), I Brake for Manicures (eggplant plum), Uh-oh Roll Down the Window (olive green)
I’ve been “test driving” the collection and my favorites are the rich gray of French Quarter for Your Thoughts (see pic below), Suzi Takes the Wheel and I Brake for Manicures, a gorgeous eggplant plum. These are the colors I’ll be wearing all fall and winter. Two coats of polish gave a saturated appearance without streaking.
The OPI Touring America Collection is available at Professional Salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, JCPenney, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, and ULTA, for $8.50 ($10.95 CAN) suggested retail for each Nail Lacquer. OPI Nail Lacquer shades contain no DBP, Toluene, or Formaldehyde.
