The MAC Posh Paradise Collection has been out for a few weeks, but I wanted to take my time to play with the Paint Pots that are part of the collection. I’ve always been a fan of Paint Pots, mostly using them as an eyeshadow base. Read on for more…
The Paint Pot shades in the Posh Paradise Collection include:
- Treasure Hunt – Light pearled yellow
- Half-Wild – Mid-tone purple
- Hyperviolet – Deep violet
- Nubile – Light peachy nude
- Idyllic – Mid-tone copper bronze
- Genuine Treasure – Reflects antique gold
- Pure Creation – Mid-tone frosty blue
- Imaginary – Blackened navy
What makes this collection different from other Paint Pots is the level of pigmentation (intense!) in the colors. These shades won’t be saved for eyeshadow base any more. These Paint Pots are built to last all day and they do. The formulas are creamy and don’t budge once they’re on. The variety of shades is a welcome addition to the line.
Of the four shades that I tried, I love Half-Wild the most. It’s a medium purple that for me, is a shade that I could wear daily. Of the others, Pure Creation, is a turquoise shade that I would probably reserve for summer; Treasure Hunt is very pretty (especially dabbed in the center of the eye to make your eyes pop) and Hyperviolet is dark, but more wearable when blended out.
MAC Posh Paradise Paint Pots retail at $17.50 each and are available now at MAC counters and online at www.maccosmetics.com. Have you ever tried Paint Pots? Let me know in the comments!
