It’s Fall and time for some of my favorite things. Pumpkin Spice Latte. Apple pie. Wait–what?!? Those Fall treats are definitely not on my Nutrisystem plan! I’ve had to learn to really think about that splurge and if it’s worth it. Read on for more…

One of the eating habits that got me into trouble was not being able to deny myself something I wanted or justify it by thinking I had a bad day. Eating would make me feel better or forget the stress. Part of changing my behavior on the Nutrisystem plan has meant that I’ve had to find other ways of dealing with my stress. But is it realistic to think I’ll never have another Pumpkin Spice Latte? No way. I’ve had one–one–to herald in the season. And that’s it. It’s all about choices.

For me, most of the time now, it really is an easy choice to stay on plan. I’m still not where I need to be, so I have to continue my weight loss plan with a purpose. Most of the time, I’d rather have a diet hot chocolate at 25 calories and not sabotage my efforts.

I think being able to face those dilemmas is part of life. I have to keep living. And if I fall off the wagon for a Pumpkin Spice Latte (nonfat), it’s only one. As long as I get back on track and re-focus and as long as it’s only an occasional thing, I think I’ll be ok.

This week, I’ve lost 1 lb., making my weight loss since March 13th a total of 52.6 lbs!
