Getting a taxi in New York is always a challenge, but during Fashion Week? Next to impossible. This year, there are some new options that combine free rides to the shows…with benefits! Read on for more…
A fleet of Lancôme-sponsored Mobile Taxi Shops will offer complimentary rides anywhere in Manhattan while you shop the latest Lancôme trends from the back seat—all with just a couple of clicks of your phone.
From February 9th to February 13th, look for The Lancôme Taxi Shop taxis for your chance to hop in and enjoy the experience. Hail a branded taxi, or stop by a Glamour taxi stand at 3 locations: Lincoln Center, The Standard Hotel and Condé Nast.
Lancôme Mobile Taxi Shops will operate daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and take passengers to any Manhattan destination free of charge. (A purchase is not required for a ride.) Each taxi will have a two-minute video demonstrating one of two Lancôme looks: The Bold Lip or Easy Eyes, both starring Lancôme makeup artist Tarek Abbas. To make shopping even easier, download the Glamour Friends & Fans app at The App Store or Android Market. For more info, check out the video:
U by Kotex is also launching a fleet of fabulous cars that will be giving free rides during New York Fashion Week to take passengers to some of the best fashion-focused areas in the city.
Each ride taken between February 9th and February 16th will help U by Kotex donate up to $100,000 to Girls for a Change, a national non-profit group that empowers girls to create and lead social change in their communities. You can find all the details on the graphic.
Lastly, starting tomorrow, February 10th, New York branding and communications agency The Promotion Factory, is arming its brightest fashionistas with Fashion Survival Kits inside its very own set of FashionWheels. Keep an eye out for the souped up FashionWheels at Lincoln Center, Milk Studios, and everywhere in between. Available days and locations vary, but you can get real-time location updates on Twitter by following @ThePromoFact.
Let me know if you’re able to get a free taxi ride during Fashion Week–I definitely plan on keeping my eyes peeled for these cool cabs!
