A press release that details the arrival of a new seasonal nail polish collection from Zoya always makes my day.  When I saw the preview of the Beach and Surf Nail Collection for Summer, I was excited.  Bright popsicle colors that will are fun and fashionable? Yes please!

The Zoya Beach and Surf Nail Collection was designed and inspired by resort runways and tropical getaways.  When you look at the colors, and if you’ve ever been to the Caribbean–it really shows. The colors remind me of the bright buildings you see when you’re on some of the islands. And the aqua shades are callbacks to the water.

The Zoya Beach Collection is six shades of creamy goodness:

  • Reagan (ZP614) – deep cerise pink cream
  • Lara (ZP615) – vivid cerise pink cream
  • Shelby (ZP616) – soft pinky pink cream
  • Arizona (ZP617) – soft coral orange cream
  • Tracie (ZP618) – sea grass metallic
  • Wednesday (ZP619) – soft aqua cream

It’s always hard to pick a favorite, but I’d have to say in the Beach Collection, it’s Lara and Wednesday.  I love the “Palm Beach” feel that a manicure takes on when used in combination. Wednesday is a perfect color for an accent nail.  In my wear, two coats were necessary for full coverage. I expected–and got–great, long-lasting wear. It’s one of the things that I’ve come to rely on with Zoya.

The Zoya Surf Collection is the sister to Beach, in a metallic foil finish.  The shimmering colors are so vibrant and beautiful in this collection, which includes:

  • Rory (ZP620) – lotus pink foil metallic
  • Carly (ZP621) – thalia purple foil metallic
  • Kimber (ZP622) – magenta pink foil metallic
  • Myrta (ZP623) – coral orange foil metallic
  • Meg (ZP624) – mermaid green foil metallic
  • Zuza (ZP625) – aquamarine foil metallic

Since I’m such a purple shade fan, I fully expected to pick Carly as my favorite shade. But in a huge surprise, my favorite is Zuza.  I’m not normally a fan of aqua shades on my coloring, but Zuza is phenomenal. And my recommendation that if you only buy one shade from this collection, this is the shade to own.  It’s a beautiful shade that will work as a neutral to all of your summer fashions–plus look great against a tan.  Two coats gives the best finish.

The Zoya Beach and Surf Nail Collections are out now and retail for $8.00 per shade.  You can purchase and get more information at www.zoya.com.  The collection is also available in Ulta stores.  Zoya nail polishes are free of harmful industrial chemicals like toluene, camphor, formaldehyde, resin, dibutyl phthalate (DBP) that are known to cause cancer and birth defects.
