Do you love trying out beauty products? GLOSSYBOX, a beauty sampling subscription service, has recenty launched in the U.S.  These types of beauty sampling services are super popular…a chance to try out deluxe samples before investing in a full sized product that you might not like.  Read on for more…

I was sent a preview GLOSSYBOX to check out.  The box was beautifully presented and wrapped in tissue paper. Inside I received C.O. Bigelow Shampoo (lavender-peppermint formula), OPI Kiss Me On My Tulips Nail Colour (a gorgeous fuschia shade), Cargo EyeBronzer, Kryolan High Gloss Brilliant Lip Shine in Toffee, basq Cucumber Tea Soothing Eye Gel and foil packettes of Erno Lazlo’s “The Hollywood” skin care collection.

In addition to the products, there was a trend guide with cute illustrations talking about beauty around the world.  Note: the editor’s box that I received contained full products (as pictured above); boxes ordered through the program will receive a box of five luxury sample size beauty products.

I have to say that I loved the packaging — definitely very upscale and the best of any sampling program I’ve received.  As far as the products, I thought every product except one, was great.  Other than the OPI Nail Colour, I hadn’t tried any of these specific products (although I had tried other products from the brands).  I found I loved the C.O. Bigelow Shampoo and the Cargo EyeBronzer. The only brand I had never tried was the basq Cucumber Tea Soothing Eye Gel and quite honestly, that was the only product I didn’t like.  For a “soothing” eye gel, this product smelled strongly of menthol…that wasn’t a hit.

To sign up for GLOSSYBOX , or to get more information, head to www.GLOSSYBOX.com.  The service has a monthly fee of $21.  Do you like the idea of monthly sampling programs or have you tried one?  Let me know in the comments!
