I’m currently in one of those “holding patterns” more commonly referred to as a plateau.  Plateaus are frustrating, because one of the things that has kept me motivated is that, for the most part, at least every week the scale moves. Not. This. Week.

On the positive side, Nutrisystem does give you plenty of tools to help work through these issues.  I only needed to go to the Nutrisystem website this morning and visit the discussion boards to find inspiration.  I know that it’s common to hit a plateau during a weight loss journey. But I feel like I need a way to power through.  Cutting my caloric intake isn’t the answer.  Upping my exercise isn’t the answer, although I suppose I could maybe add some walking in a couple times of week for more cardio.

One piece of advice on the message boards caught my eye.  ” I am relooking at my food intake and instead of cutting out items, I’m changing them up.”  This is something I definitely am going to follow through on.  I admit, I’m not an adventurous eater and do get stuck eating and ordering the same foods.  So maybe what I need to do is mix it up a little more.  Change things around a bit to trick my body.
