The new Gucci Première fragrance celebrates the iconic women of the golden age of Hollywood–strong, accomplished, glamorous and always ahead of their time. Not all of us are able to attend premieres and wear couture gowns, but Gucci Premiere invites us to embrace our own red carpet moments. Read on for more…
Gucci Première takes inspiration from the women that wear the Gucci couture collection. Hollywood stars like Salma Hayek, Jessica Alba, Cameron Diaz and Naomi Watts. Blake Lively embodies the qualities of the Gucci Première woman and as the face of the fragrance will appear in print and TV advertising.
The fragrance, which is classified as woody-musky, opens up with crisp, fresh notes of bergamot, orange blossom and champagne notes. The heart of the fragrance is white flowers and musk with a finish of woods and leather. When I wear it, I find Gucci Première to be a substantial, but not heavy, fragrance. It would be totally appropriate to wear in a professional setting, as despite the floral notes, this is not a lush, floral fragrance. Perfect for a a crisp, fall day or out to dinner, the fragrance warms up the longer you wear it.
The bottle is striking, done in a gold finish with the House of Gucci’s signature horsebit attachment and the iconic intertwined GG logo. It feels substantial and weighty in your hand.
Gucci Première Eau de Parfum is available in three sizes (30 ml $63, 50 ml $87 and 75 ml $105); a Body Lotion ($52) is also part of the line. You can find Gucci Première in department stores, including Nordstrom.
