Have you been bitten by the BB Cream bug? BB Creams have become a makeup bag staple for many and today’s Makeup Wars Challenge is to share our favorite BB Cream. Read on for mine!
BB Creams have taken the beauty world by storm and now most, if not all of the major brands have introduced their own version. A BB Cream in it’s truest definition is a multitasking “beauty balm” that originated in Asia.
While many BB Creams on the market aren’t much different from a tinted moisturizer, there are some that stay true to the original beauty balm concept. After trying many BB Creams, I’d say my favorite is the Dr. Jart BB Cream. The reason I like the Dr. Jart BB Cream is that in addition to good makeup coverage, you get sun protection (SPF 45) and skin care benefits (brightening and firming). At $39, it’s in the middle of the pack, in terms of price.

I like Dr.Jart quite a bit, along with a number of other Asian BB cream brands. Miisha and Skin79 are my other favs.
I haven’t tried the Dr. Jart yet *adds it to the list* we will all be BB Cream Connoisseurs after this!
The Dr. Jart+ creams were the first I’ve tried. I really like them and consider them the closest to the Asian BB Creams.
I tried this one and like it but couldn’t get a good color match.
I had a sample of it from a Sephora order and it didn’t match me so I never went further with it. I probably should ask for a lighter sample since it’s your favorite.
I’m with Cindy, I liked it but it didn’t work for my skintone!
I love the Dr. Jart+ and use it often. Not a huge fan of the regular Dr. Jart (in the turquoise bottle – not sure what it’s specifically called).
I actually purchased this one recently but haven’t given it a good test run yet! Glad to hear that you like it!
The only BB cream I have tried thus far is Maybelline’s BB cream. The color matched very well, but the coverage was minimal for what I am used to. I prefer a full coverage product and I would only use this in the summer time for a day out on the beach.
