There’s nothing more basic–or essential–than a little black dress. Now, Bobbi Brown gives us the makeup-equivalent of a LBD with the introduction of her new “Choose Your Black” Collection. Read on for more…

The Choose Your Black Collection is all about black eyeliner–because black eyeliner works on everyone. It’s a makeup product that opens up the eye and adds shape and definition. When you think ‘black eyeliner’, don’t have visions of the thick, black liquid liner from the 80′s. Bobbi’s black eyeliners are a modern essential to your every day makeup look.

The Bobbi Brown Choose Your Black Collection includes:

Kohl Cake Liner: I remember my Mom using one like this years ago. This new Kohl Cake Liner formula can be applied wet or dry. Use it to take your eye look from smokey to smoldering. I found that for day, the dry application using the Smokey Eye Liner Brush gives a very soft look. For night or a more dramatic look, wet the brush first and apply. Nothing to be afraid of here!  $24.

The Limited-Edition Smokey Eye Liner Brush is intended to work in conjunction with the Kohl Cake Liner to give you perfect results every time, $28.

Kohl Eyeliner: Highly pigmented, the Limited-Edition Kohl Eyeliner will give you a sexy, smokey look in a flash. Kohl pencils are “softer” and therefore, when applied to the lash line, I find it gives more of a smudgy effect.  $24.

Long-Wear Eye Pencil: This richly-pigmented pencil is designed to be long-lasting (12 hours) and give superior definition.  The Long-Wear Eye Pencil is my choice for tightlining or lining on the waterline (inside of the eyelid). $24.

Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner: The original and in my opinion, still one of the best eyeliners on the market. So versatile, Bobbi’s Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner was the very first black eyeliner I felt comfortable wearing; it’s still the one I reach for first. $22.

The Bobbi Brown Choose Your Black Makeup Collection is part of the overall Caviar & Oyster Holiday Collection and is available  at all Bobbi Brown counters and at BobbiBrown.com.  Is black eyeliner one of your makeup staples? Let me know in the comments!
