If you’re a fan of Project Runway like I am, you watch every week with interest as the makeup artists create amazing looks for the runway models. L’Oreal Paris has just introduced the Project Runway Collection, a fairytale-inspired makeup collection of four different color themes. Read on for more…
When I saw the collection advertised at the Season 10 finale a couple of weeks ago, I immediately set out to try to find it. The “Electric Fantasy” Collection has four color families within:
The Enchanted Queen (for a dark and dramatic look), which contains shades of gray, black and red.
The Wise Mystic (for a futuristic look), which has shades of bright purple and blue.
The Seductive Temptress (for an unexpected, almost venomous look), which has shades of brown and shimmering gold/green.
The Artsy Muse (for a playful look), which has shades of green, gold and orange
Each collection includes a combination of exclusive shades of Colour Riche Lipcolour ($8.95) and/or Colour Riche Le Gloss ($7.95), Studio Secrets Professional Eye Shadow Quad ($8.95) and Blush ($9.95), Colour Riche Nail polish ($5.99) and L’Oreal Paris’ newest nail innovation, Colour Riche Nail Lingerie ($9.95), which are easy-to-apply nail stickers with 3D effects.
My favorite “collection” of the four is The Enchanted Queen. Of the four color groups, this quad is the one that I am most drawn to because the colors are perfect for a smoky eye: there’s a light grey highlighter, a medium and medium-dark grey and a deep purple. I love this combination and have reached for this eyeshadow many times. The pigmentation is good; I prefer using a primer first to insure best wear.
The blushes are fantastic in this collection–great, wearable colors. For every day, if you can find it, I’d recommend getting The Mystic’s Blush 626. The blushes have good pigmentation, wear and blend well.
And you know my feelings about the Colour Riche Nail polish–I love it. The colors in the Project Runway Collection are really sophisticated and the finishes look like a nail colour you’d easily pay two or three times the money for. I can’t recommend these enough! The Nail Lingerie nail stickers are a welcome addition to the line. With almost a holographic effect, personally, I like to wear one as an accent nail–as opposed to wearing all ten. They’re similar to other stickers–easy to apply and good wear.
The Limited Edition L’Oreal Paris & Project Runway Electric Fantasie Cosmetics Collection is available only in drusgstores this month while supplies last. Worth checking out! Have you seen or bought pieces of this collection? Let me know!
