So often during the holidays, get-togethers are impromptu; there’s not always time for a blow-out or  a trip to the salon for “party hair”. Get the 411 on some of the best hair products to use, and styling tips for a quick topknot from Harry Josh! Read on for more…

A great hairstyle starts with hair that’s in good condition. One product that helps, especially during the winter, is a deep conditioning hair mask. Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask from Neutrogena moisturizes all three layers of the hair strand, so even severely dry hair feels soft and smooth–after just a single use. Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask helps tame fly-aways and frizz, too. Find Neutrogena products in your drug, discount or grocery store (a sample of this product was provided).

Editors, models and celebrities in-the-know trust Harry Josh, John Frieda® International Creative Consultant, to help keep their tresses in top shape.  One of the easiest and quickest “after 5” looks is a top knot. Harry shares a few tips for creating a top knot that will take you from the office to the party in no time!

Begin by applying a volumizing mousse, like John Frieda’s Luxurious Volume Thickening Mousse, to the crown of the head to create lift.  Then gather all of your hair high on top of the head.

Next, wrap the hair around itself completely into a bun and tuck the ends underneath it.  Use hair pins to secure so that they disappear under the bun, locking underneath to create a little fortress so that the bun doesn’t move around.  If you have thick hair and pins won’t work, you can also use an elastic and just wrap the hair around the elastic to hide it. Lastly, spritz with hair spray to hold and tame any flyaways.  For the holidays, add in a sparkly barrette, brooch or chopstick to take the look up a notch!
