In 2012, my main goal was to achieve a 100 pound weight loss goal on Nutrisystem and I can check that box…mission accomplished. I still had work to do, though. I needed to learn how to maintain the weight loss, continue to work on finding ways of keeping up my exercise and live a healthy lifestyle. I’ve been able to do that–but I’m still not where I want to be.

Yes, I’m buying smaller clothes, but for as much weight as I’ve lost, I feel like I haven’t been able to get toned up enough. I weigh 20 pounds less than my sister, who wears 2 sizes smaller than I do!  She doesn’t diet and does NO exercise. So not fair. My #1 goal for this year is to find an exercise plan that will FIRM ME UP!

As far as Nutrisystem, it was and still is a huge part of my life.  Even though I’m not formally in the program anymore, I continue to use what I learned while on Nutrisystem every day. One of the keys to my success was never feeling deprived, because I was eating real meals–even snacks and desserts!

Nutrisystem has recently added two-dozen new and/or improved menu items to their offerings. The new entrees include Risotto, Chicken Pot Pie and Stuffed Apple Pie (What?!? Yum!). I definitely want to order some of the new a la carte meals to try, as I love the convenience. Plus, there’s the security I get from knowing that the portion control issue has been taken care of for me.

My goals for this year? I plan to stay focused on maintaining my weight loss and am determined to get toned-up so that I have the new body I want. What about you? Do you have any goals for the upcoming year that include a healthier lifestyle? We’re in this together!
