The cherry blossoms have finally burst into beautiful bouquets of fragrance in Washington DC and another tradition that accompanies the arrival of spring, the ESCADA spring/summer fragrance release–has also just launched. Read on for more.

Back when I worked in Cosmetics, one of the most anticipated rites of spring was the release of the new limited-edition ESCADA fragrance. Always a perfect fragrance for summer, the notes are invariably a fruity-flowery composition. I’m so excited about this season’s release, ESCADA Cherry In The Air.

Cherry In The Air is sure to be one of the most popular fragrances of the summer, with the perfect interpretation of cherry and “cheery” floral notes. The fragrance opens with top notes of black cherry, juicy raspberry and a citrusy mandarin note. The heart of the fragrance is floral; gardenia petals, coconut orchid and warm vanilla. Add to that a hint of marshmallow for playfulness. As the fragrance dries down, there is more of a warm, woody feel, with sandalwood, oak, musls and white suede accord. Sexy!

I think of ESCADA Cherry In The Air as a very happy, playful scent that is perfect for spring and summer. What I like is that this fragrance isn’t cloyingly sweet or overly fruity–it’s a sophisticated interpretation of a light, fresh fragrance that is perfect for the upcoming warm months. In addition to a great fragrance, I love the bottle–simple, classic and weighty in your hand. And I also like that (on me) I can spritz it on and it lasts, allowing me to appreciate the fragrance as it develops.

You can find limited-edition ESCADA Cherry In The Air Eau de Toilette in department stores including Macy’s, Kohl’s, Ulta and Sephora. Do you buy a new fragrance for spring and summer? Tell me in the comments!
