Have you ever felt like just jumping on a plane and going to somewhere exotic? That’s me…about ten times a day! Recently I’ve had the opportunity to try JUARA Skincare and it feels like I’m transported to somewhere wonderful. Read on…

If you haven’t heard of or tried Juara Skincare, it’s a line that is inspired by beauty secrets from Bali. Juara uses high concentrations of pure, powerful botanicals and raw ingredients native to Bali and Indonesia in safe and gentle skincare products. If you like a natural beauty line, Juara is 100% vegetarian, oil-free, fragrance-free, artifical colorant-free, doesn’t contain parabens, phthalates or sulfates and doesn’t test on animals.

I tried four products from the Juara line and found them all to be very effective and nice to use. I tried the Candlenut Hand & Body Balm, the Rose & Willow Bark Blemish-Free Mask, Sweet Black Tea & Rice Facial Moisturizer and the Sweet Black Tea Eye Creme.

  • Candlenut Hand & Body Balm is a rich balm that absorbs right into dry skin. I’ve been using it on my hands, elbows and feet and like that it completely moisturizes without being greasy. Candlenut Hand & Body Balm is formulated with candlenut oil and would be great year ’round–not just winter. $25
  • Rose & Willow Bark Blemish-Free Mask was my favorite of the products that I tried. Perfect for combination or oily skin types, this mask contains white willow bark with natural salicylates (pore cleansers and minimizers), soothing rose and purifying clay to help skin look more refined. At first I was surprised by the rose color of this mask, but never looked back when I saw how well it worked. I actually like using this in the morning, pre-makeup.  $35
  • Sweet Black Tea & Rice Facial Moisturizer is a hydrating moisturizer suitable for normal to dry skins. This moisturizer contains fermented sweet black tea (high in antioxidants), rice bran oil, which is high in fatty acids to help maintain skin elasticity and natural Vitamin C, making it a more natural anti-aging choice.  Sweet Black Tea & Rice Facial Moisturizer doesn’t contain sunscreen (I actually prefer to apply my own, anyway). I found this non-irritating and gentle. $49
  • Sweet Black Tea Eye Creme is a rich eye creme that hydrates the eye area and provides anti-aging benefits similar to the Moisturizer (above).  This eye creme feels very nourishing, thanks to Vitamin E, in addition to sweet black tea and rice bran oil. I used it morning and night without experiencing any irritation.  It’s nice, sometime, to use skincare products that are a little more “nourishing”, since I’m so often testing products that contain retinols and other ingredients that can be irritating. $38

Juara Skincare is available online at retailers including Dermstore.com, Skinstore.com, Drugstore.com and juaraskincare.com. Have you tried this Indonesian-inspired skincare line?
