Even though we’re quickly approaching the Fourth of July, there’s plenty of summer left. That means if you haven’t found a sunscreen you’re happy with, there are still plenty of options out there! Check out some of the sunscreens I’ve been testing…
If you’re hanging out near the beach or water, new from NEUTROGENA® is Beach Defense™ Sunscreen Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 70. This lightweight lotion provides beach strength broad spectrum UVA/UVB sun protection in a fast absorbing formula, ideal for outdoor skin protection.
If you prefer a spray formula, Australian Gold Sheer Coverage Continuous Spray SPF 30 is a clear, quick drying spray you can aim from any angle, even upside down. Offers UVA/UVB protection and water resistant up to 80 minutes. And you get that great scent!
For a sunscreen that’s more like skin care, there’s Votre Vu En Garde Sun Shield. What I love about this lightweight sunscreen is that it has UVA/UVB protection, SPF 30, is water resistant and is citrus-scented! The formula contains 92% French organic ingredients including antioxidant protection and Shiitake Mushroom Extract, which helps the complexion.
Sun Bum SPF 15 Moisturizing Lotion is a traditional lotion sunscreen. It’s ultra-sweatproof and ultra-waterproof, making this one a great choice for a day at the beach. Created by tried-and-true sun bums to protect their own family, every formula delivers broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection without parabens, PABA, etc. It’s pretty heavily scented, though, compared to others I’ve tried.
In a recent Makeup Wars Challenge on Best Sunscreens, one sunscreen that was named over and over again as a favorite was SuperGoop! This advanced formula gives the sun protection we want and (finally!) enough of it with their convenient pump. Supergoop! is giving away 1 SPF 30+ Endless Summer Pump every day on their Facebook page! To get the benefit of a sunscreen you need to apply enough of it (about a shot glass), so buying this pump makes total sense from a protection and value standpoint.
The best sunscreen is the one you remember to use…so tell me, what’s your favorite? Let me know in the comments!
