This time of year, I look forward to gearing up to start my holiday shopping online. Of course, I’m always on the lookout for beauty products, so when I was invited to check out Vitacost.com and select a few products for review, I was up for it. Read on for more…
To be honest, I was really surprised at what a wide and varied selection of beauty products Vitacost has! In addition to beauty, Vitacost carries a great selection of brands and categories, including products for a healthy lifestyle, vitamins, food, pet and home supplies.
I was able to find several new favorites that I’m eager to share with you:
Last week I updated you on tips for protecting your color-treated hair and one of the featured products came from Alterna. I’ve discovered two more Alterna products that I’ve added into my hair care regimen. First, I’m loving the Bamboo Smooth Anti-Breakage Thermal Protectant Spray. This spray is clinically proven to reduce hair breakage by 87%. The spray locks in replenishing proteins and protects hair from styling tools up to 428o . I’ve been using this every day since I got it and I’m obsessed!
Another excellent find from Alterna is the TEN Ultra Fine Brushable Hair Spray. This hair spray offers a touchable hold finish, with brilliant shine. Formulated with Enzymetherapy and anti-humectants to protect hair from frizz and humidity, as well as protect the color from the effects of sun and artificial light. I’m so picky about hair products, but I definitely do plan on rebuying both of these!
Here in the Midwest, the seasons have definitely changed and my hands are already showing the effects of the drier air. So, the AHAVA Deadsea Water Mineral Hand Cream came at a great time. AHAVA is known for their hand cream, which is made with a blend of minerals, sourced from the Dead Sea waters. This Hand Cream would make a thoughtful gift for someone who works outside or is suscesptible to dry/rough skin. Once applied, it lasts for hours and I love that it’s approved for sensitive skin.
And speaking of hand care, using a nourishing hand soap is so important. I was able to try the Caldrea Sea Salt Neroli No. 17 Hand Soap and it’s fantastic. Inspired by “bright clear mornings at the shore”, this Hand Wash is lightly fragranced with essential oils of Lemon and Neroli. It’s a gentle but thorough cleanser–even my husband approves! I think it would make a great gift, especially appropriate for a housewarming or hostess.
I was beyond pleased with the products from Vitacost; shipping was fast and the order arrived well-packaged, with no damage. Vitacost offers a wide variety of eco-friendly products, including many cruelty-free beauty brands. Have you shopped at Vitacost before? Let me know in the comments!
