Is this the year you’re going to get in shape, take off those last 10 pounds or just live a healthier lifestyle? Me too! I’ve been busy checking out fitness gear and have come up with some fabulous gym bag essentials for you.

To tote your gear in style, you need a gym bag that will hold it all and still look good. The one I have is from Herschel Supply Co. It’s roomy, has interior pockets, yet has a shape that looks feminine, too.

Whatever your sport, fitness shoes are a must and for me, the brighter the better. I love the Nike Free 5.0 Running shoe. These are lightweight and great for working out or walking.

A killer playlist is what gets me through a workout, but one issue I’ve had is finding earbuds that fit. I received a complimentary pair of the new FitBuds and FitClips from Koss. Designed by women, they have a 33% smaller earbud/cushion that’s made just for women (thank you!). They fit, feel and sound great. Check them out at retailers including Wal-Mart, Best Buy and Walgreens!

There is so much activewear available now; I definitely have my favorites. One new brand I’ve recently discovered is Zella. The Zen Again Jacket and Live In Leggings are not only cute to work out in, but stylish enough to run errands in.

Make sure you tuck in one of the deodorants from the Secret Clinical Strength Collection; I like the Invisible Solid but there’s also a Clear Gel and Smooth Solid. These deodorants contain the highest level of antiperspirant ingredients and are proven to protect against stress sweat.

A dry shampoo is also a must for after working-out, if you don’t have time to do a full shampoo and blow dry. Lately I’m loving the Alterna line and the Caviar Anti-Aging Dry Shampoo works great, especially if you have color-treated hair. Adds volume and a fresh scent.

When I’m done working out, I’m usually starving and need a light snack. For that, I’ve discovered GoBites. GoBites is a customizable, portion-controlled, all-natural snack delivery service. There are many different options available depending on dietary need.

One more necessity is a water bottle. The Insulated Water Bottle by Hydro Flask is a good option. I also love the S’well Stainless Steel Water Bottles, which are double insulated–and come in fashionable options!

And if you’re looking for fitness activity monitors, I’m currently wearing the Garmin Vivofit 2 Activity Tracker and really like it. Make sure to check out my reviews of the Fitbit Flex and the Polar Loop, if you’re still looking at various fitness monitors.

Disclosure:  Press samples of the Koss Fitbuds/FitClips and GoBites have been provided by the brand/PR for editorial consideration, product testing and review. Affiliate links have been used in the post, which means a small commission is earned.
