One of CHANEL’s most enduring symbols, the camellia, is known for its rare ability to bloom in the winter. The camellia now enhances two new HYDRA BEAUTY formulas to intensely hydrate dry skin and lips. In addition to caring for your body and lips, CHANEL also makes one of the best hand creams, the Body Excellence Nourishing and Rejuvenating Hand Cream.
While many think of CHANEL for makeup, skincare makes up a large portion of the beauty line, too. The new Hydra Beauty Creme Riche (1.7 oz., $87) is a deeply hydrating moisturizer featuring nourishing Camellia Oil and other antioxidants. I haven’t tried it, but it seems to be the perfect hybrid between a facial oil and a cream formula. I think this would be a fabulous in-flight skin treatment for when you travel.
The Hydra Beauty Nourishing Lip Care ($50) is a lip balm that, like the Hydra Beauty Creme Riche, delivers the moisturizing benefits of Camellia. This lip balm softens and smooths lips. It differs from one of my other favorite lip balms from La Mer, in that La Mer has petrolatum, seaweed and algae extract. The CHANEL Hydra Beauty Nourishing Lip Care feels lighter, moisturizes thoroughly, yet still lasts a long time on lips. I really like this one!
For hands, CHANEL Body Excellence Nourishing and Rejuvenating Hand Cream (2.5 oz., $48) is my favorite of all the hand creams that I’ve been testing this winter. This hand cream is lightweight, formulated with Shea Butter, Coconut Oil and other plant extracts. I love that it’s non-greasy, yet hands and cuticles feel completely hydrated and comfortable–even in the driest air. And the scent of lotus and hibiscus flowers totally takes your mind of this nasty winter weather.
You can find CHANEL skin care products in department stores and online at Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and Saks. Yes, these products are a splurge, but sometimes you need a little pickup that only CHANEL can give you!
