Each change of the seasons brings about a change in my fragrance wardrobe. For spring and summer, I love the fruity-floral fragrances. One of the most anticipated seasonal fragrance releases is the new Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Delight Eau de Toilette. With it’s happy daisy-topped bottle, this was just the pick-me-up I needed to get in the mood for the brighter days ahead.
There is something about each of the limited-edition Daisy fragrances that is irresistable. It’s the sense of playfulness and joyful anticipation that I get from the fragrance. This year’s limited-edition Daisy Eau So Fresh Delight EDT is no different. The scent is laced with fruity and floral notes so that it’s light and sparkling–perfect for spring and summer. But it’s also grounded with musk and amber; so you get the benefit of a warm, sensual dry-down with a bit of the apricot skin component, too.
The notes in Daisy Eau So Fresh Delight include:
- TOP: blood orange, pink pepper, white tea
- HEART: tiare tahiti, violet, raspberry
- BASE: apricot skin, musk, amber
When wearing it, I definitely experience the fruity notes first — especially the blood orange, which is lovely, and the snappy notes of pink pepper. As the fragrance develops, I can detect the floral tiare tahiti notes, which I adore and the violet and raspberry notes. In terms of wear time, because of the musk and amber base, I get good wear time compared to the average fruity-floral fragrance. Although fruity-floral compositions can sometimes be very light and syrupy, Daisy Eau So Fresh Delight is a substantial fragrance–it was composed by perfumer Frank Völkl, one of the industries most respected “noses”.
Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Delight (limited-edition) is available in a 2.5 oz. size for $89. You can find it at Sephora, Nordstrom and in major department and specialty stores nationwide. Do you buy a new fragrance with the change of seasons?
