Calvin Klein ETERNITY Summer EDP 2014

One of my favorite things about summer is the release of season-specific fragrances. I wear fragrance more in the summer than any other time of year. Each summer, Calvin Klein releases an ETERNITY Summer Eau de Parfum and this year’s edition hits all the right notes.

The word I think of when I think of Calvin Klein ETERNITY Summer is pretty. First and foremost, Calvin Klein ETERNITY Summer is a pretty fragrance. It’s a scent that you can wear on a date, just as easily as you can wear it to work or out shopping. I appreciate that versatility in a fragrance. I also like a fragrance that’s light–especially in the summer.

Calvin Klein ETERNITY Summer is a fruity floral, with some watery/aquatic notes. The top notes of the fragrance include pear, mandarin, watermelon and bamboo leaves. The heart of the fragrance includes peony, water lily, gardenia and neroli and the drydown is soft musk and white woods.

When I first spray Calvin Klein ETERNITY Summer, although it seems like the fruity notes would be dominate, I get the lush florals and the dewy, slightly green note of the bamboo leaves. Fresh floral, then I get the juicy pear and aquatic notes of the water lily. As it develops, I adore the soft musk that lingers; it’s sensuous. And while I was testing the fragrance, on more than one occasion, I had someone ask me what scent I was wearing.

Calvin Klein ETERNITY Summer (3.4 ounces, $64) is available at Macy’s. If you like your guys’ fragrance to complement yours, there is a Calvin Klein Summer Eau de Toilette for Men available. Have you found your summer fragrance yet? Let me know in the comments!
