Estée Lauder introduces new Perfectionist Youth-Infusing Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 25, offering the next generation in age-defying skin-perfection. Infused with Perfectionist [CP+R] Serum technology, this is a foundation that delivers skincare benefits and transforms skin’s look and feel.
One thing that I know for sure is that foundation formulas have never been as good as they are right now. There is no need to wear a foundation that you’re not 100% happy with. That said, Perfectionist Youth-Infusing Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 25 looks good and more importantly, feels good on.
The shade that I was sent to preview is Fresco, which is in the medium shade range. I found the satin-finish coverage to be buildable, from medium to a true full. I also appreciate that Perfectionist Youth-Infusing Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 25 is an all-day foundation; I didn’t have need for touch-ups during the day. While wearing this foundation, I felt like my skin stayed hydrated and fine lines and imperfections seemed nonexistant. The formula contains Brightening Optics and Nourishing Moisture Complex with Hyaluronic Acid.
For application, I used the new Sculpting Foundation Brush ($45). I’ve never used a brush that is crescent-shaped like this and it really works! The curved shape of the brush is designed to hug the contours of the face. You start by applying Perfectionist Youth-Infusing Makeup to the back of your hand, then dip brush in and apply to the planes of the face.
In terms of who would really benefit from wearing Perfectionist Youth-Infusing Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 25, I would say almost everyone. I like that the formula has a broad spectrum SPF 25, is oil-free, non-acnegenic, fragrance-free and has skincare ingredients. I didn’t experience any irritation while wearing this foundation; my skin seemed to drink it up and just love it. This is one foundation that I would definitely re-buy.
Estée Lauder Perfectionist Youth-Infusing Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 25 ($45) is available now in department stores and online at Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, and EsteeLauder.com (check out the new website!).
