For Fall 2014, NARS Cosmetics introduces All Day Luminous Powder Foundation. So silky and beautiful on the skin this medium buildable foundation is going to make you want to wear makeup. Up until now, I can honestly say I’ve been loyal to one liquid foundation, one tinted moisturizer and now I can add, one powder foundation. Search over!
One of the things that Founder and Creative Director Francois Nars is known for is his penchant for playing with light. The formula of All Day Luminous Powder Foundation turns that into reality. The formula includes a blend of 17 amino acids, Vitamin C derivative and Marine Fennel, which promotes cell renewal and helps reduce the look of hyper-pigmentation and wrinkles. In addition, NARS exclusive Light Reflecting Complex™, which optimizes light reflection to enhance skin’s translucency and broad spectrum SPF 24 that lasts up to 12-hours.
All Day Luminous Powder Foundation can be applied with the sponge (provided), a foundation brush or BeautyBlender. The coverage is medium and buildable; I like that it is is pigmented enough to hide any skin imperfections. And get ready for a gorgeous feel on your skin; this foundation doesn’t feel look or feel drying. My skin actually looks better when I’m wearing it. Yes, yes and yes!
NARS All Day Luminous Powder Foundation comes in 15 shades, and if you wear Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer like I do, I found that the shades are nearly identical. I normally wear Siberia in PRTM and sure enough, the Siberia in this foundation is a perfect match. I tried both Siberia (Light with neutral balance of pink and yellow undertones) and Deauville (Light with a neutral balance of pink and yellow undertones) and to my eye, was unable to tell the shades apart.
NARS All Day Luminous Powder Foundation ($48) is available now at NARS Boutiques and narscosmetics.com and will be in department stores on October 1st. This is an excellent foundation–especially if you’re not a fan of liquid formulas and need more coverage than a tinted moisturizer. I can’t recommend it highly enough. Definitely my new favorite!
