I previewed the M∙A∙C Brooke Shields Collection and can definitely see the day/night aspect. I love the sleek packaging, done in an “industrial gray” with Brooke’s signature in orange. Orange plays prominent in the collection, too; there is an orange Lipstick, Lipglass and Nail Lacquer.
The colors in this collection are beautiful and so wearable. I loved the Cream Colour Base, two complimentary shades of cream blush. If you’re a fan of the Veluxe Pearlfusion Palettes, both of the palettes are beautiful. Mortal is the palette I tried and it has soft, neutral shades, while Trusted Instinct is more dramatic, with grays and purple.
The star of the collection for me is the Gravitas Palette, which I hunted everywhere for and picked up at my local Macy’s. What I love is that every eyeshadow in this palette is one that I’ll use. So often you buy a large palette and if you use a few colors, you’re lucky. With classic M∙A∙C shades like Shroom, Soft Brown, Satin Taupe and Carbon, this is like a holy grail palette for me.
The M∙A∙C Brooke Shields Collection is available now in department stores including Nordstrom and online at maccosmetics.com. I wouldn’t wait on this one, this is one of my favorite M∙A∙C releases of the year!
