With the new MAC Studio Conceal and Correct Collection, you can hide flaws and imperfections just like the pros. New Studio Finish Concealer Duo features Studio Conceal and Correct formula in complementary pairs, so you can mix and blend your own customizable hue.
Because I chronically have to deal with dark circles, I am always on the lookout for the next, best concealer. I was anxious to try the new Studio Conceal and Correct Collection. I’ve had good results with M·A·C Matchmaster (review) and Pro Longwear (review), which I love and made my list of Top 10 Favorite Concealers.
The M·A·C Studio Finish Concealer Duo ($25) comes in 6 pairs; each duo has a warm and cool shade. I tried the NW25/NC30 Duo, which was a bit dark (the NW20/NC25 Duo would have been my match), but it would be fine for summer.
The concealer is really super-pigmented and I liked that you could blend the colors to get the custom shade you need. With these concealers, you’re not limited to just under-eye use. Because the Studio Finish Concealer Duo is so pigmented, you can use it to cover skin issues like birthmarks, blemishes, moles–even tattoos. For application, the 195 Concealer Brush will give you the best results; the tapered shape allows you to get the most precise application.
I also tried the M·A·C Studio Finish Conceal and Correct Duo ($30) in the Mid Peach/Mid Yellow tone. Because I have a more neutral skin tone, this particular shade didn’t work for me. But I can speak to the fact that the formula is pigmented, creamy, blendable and long-wear. With this Duo, using 217 Blending Brush (my favorite all-around makeup brush) works best. I need to get to a counter to see the Pale Yellow/Pale Pink Duo; I think this is the Duo that would work for me. I’d like the convenience of the wand for travel.
The Studio Conceal and Correct Collection also includes Studio Chromagraphic Pencils ($16) which can be used as eyeliner, as well as to sculpt and define. I didn’t try this, so I can’t comment on performance.
The M·A·C Studio Conceal and Correct Collection is available now in department stores including Nordstrom, M·A·C Boutiques and online at maccosmetics.com. Are you a fan of M·A·C concealers Let me know in the comments!
