NARS has introduced All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation; a liquid foundation that is essentially weightless on your skin. It’s long-wear (16 hours worth!), oil-free, with full, natural-looking coverage. Pretty much all you could ever want in a liquid foundation. Thank you, NARS!

If you read Beauty411 on a regular basis, you know that I’m a pretty tough sell on a good foundation or liquid makeup. I’ve had good success using the NARS All Day Luminous Powder Foundation (review), so I was interested to try it in a liquid formula. I think the first thing that struck me is that is so light–as in weightless–yet delivers on the coverage. I also found the long-wear clinically-proven claim to be true. I’ve said often that I’m just not a gal that likes to reapply makeup throughout the day. When it’s on, it better stay on. And All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation does stay on all day and then some.

NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation comes in 20 shades. I tried the Santa Fe shade and although it says “Medium”, it has way too much of a peach undertone for me to wear. I probably should have tried the Deauville or Fiji, since that’s what I’m wearing in All Day Luminous Powder. So–I can’t really say if the powder shades are close to the liquid, since I haven’t had the opportunity to experience that in person. My recommendation is to buy the shade you’re wearing in another NARS formula, if available.

NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation ($48) is available now exclusively in NARS Boutiques and at Narscosmetics.com. It will be available February 1st in department stores and specialty stores. If you’re a fan of light, weightless foundations with full coverage and long-wear, you’ll want to try this one!
