When it comes to makeup, you can count on bareMinerals to always be changing up the game. It’s like the bareMinerals gurus are determined not to make us settle for makeup that doesn’t fit our lifestyle. Complexion Rescue from bareMinerals is a new tinted hydrating gel cream makeup that is another product you’re going to want to add to your makeup bag.
I’m always on the lookout for a good makeup; mostly to even out skin tone. I don’t really need “coverage”. One of the most important qualities that I look for is how the makeup feels on my skin. It needs to breathe; I just cannot do makeup that feels heavy.
I’ve been loving bareMinerals Complexion Rescue. Not only is it light, but it’s hydrating with a dewy finish and sheer, buildable coverage. I appreciate that there are marine botanicals in the formula for hydration and a mineral-based broad spectrum SPF 30 (thank you!). Another thing that especially pleases me is the fact that there are no silicones, no oil, it’s hypoallergenic and fragrance-free. What more could you want? No parabens? No worries.
I’ve been wearing Complexion Rescue almost daily since receiving a preview sample. The shade I’ve been testing is Natural 05 and it’s a perfect match for my light-medium skin; there are 10 shades total. The thing that impresses me most is how natural this makeup looks on. It’s my skin, but better. I’ve been using the Smoothing Face Brush to apply, although you could certainly use fingers. I just prefer a more airbrushed look. And I’ve always loved bareMinerals brushes; they never disappoint.
You can find bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream ($29) in department stores, including Nordstrom and Sephora, as well as bareMinerals.com. Do you have a favorite face makeup? Tell me what it is in the comments!
