With the introduction of the new Bobbi Brown ‘Hot’ Collection, Bobbi brings us the warm nudes of the beachfront and the bright lights of Miami. The Hot Collection is inspired by supermodel Kate Upton’s Florida beach lifestyle. It’s the perfect marriage of playful brights and beautiful nude shades.
The Bobbi Brown Hot Collection includes:
Limited Edition Hot Nudes Eye Palette ($65)
Limited Edition Art Sticks ($26) in Hot Berry, Hot Pink and Hot Orange
Limited Edition Sheer Lip Color ($26) in Berry, Pink and Orange
I was able to preview several pieces from the Hot Collection and this is quintessential spring-summer-resort makeup. The colors are sheer, but pigmented. The Art Sticks are bright and if you’re a neutral-wearer like I am, offer the right pop of color. What I like about Art Sticks is that they have the benefits and function of a lip liner, but the concentrated color of a lipstick. And they’re portable!
Sheer Lip Colors are also not a new product, but the shades are new for this collection. Another favorite of mine, Sheer Lip Colors feel like a lip balm, have the shine of a gloss and wear like a stain. They’re so conditioning on lips, you barely know you have lip color on.
When I saw the Limited Edition Cheek Palette in Calypso, I knew I had to order it and I’m SO glad I did! The Calypso shades include Coral Sugar, (pink coral shade on left), Calypso Highlighter (light peach shade with illuminating pearls – in the middle) and Pretty Coral (a bright coral-pink shade on the right). There is some fallout in the palette tablets when you swirl with your brush, but overall the colors in this palette are sheer perfection. Love! It’s my must-have product from this collection! The other Cheek Palettes also look pretty, but I haven’t seen in person. I also received the Hot Nudes Eye Palette to preview, but since it arrived completely destroyed, I was not able to review it.
