The Courrèges Estée Lauder Collection is a merger of the old guard and avant-garde fashion and beauty legacies with today’s new icons for the brand…Kendall Jenner and a new fashion forward poptastic aesthetic. An homage to the futuristic look of the 60’s with performance makeup of the millenials.
The Courrèges Estée Lauder Collection is a 13-piece collection with formulations that were designed to be “surprising in their lightness, in their sensorial delivery, their translucency, reflectivity, and in their pop-y palette”. The products were designed to look and be fun; to play with color, texture and special effects, while offering today’s woman a modern approach to makeup.
I was able to try several products in the Courrèges Estée Lauder Collection including the Iridescent Ball Highlighter ($26), Eye Amplifier Eyeshadow ($26) in Black Silver and Illuminations Face Powder ($32). It goes without saying that I love the packaging and even for as many products as I’ve reviewed, these formulas are unique. The Eye Amplifier Eyeshadow is weightless, with a beautiful silky, shimmering effect that’s not too intense. It’s gorgeous; I wish there were more colors available.
The Iridescent Ball Highlighter has a light gel-to-powder texture that can be applied with fingertips anywhere you want to add illumination. This product gives a lit-from-within glow. The Illuminations Face Powder is a universal-shade finishing powder with a slight iridescent finish, which adds a light-grabbing quality to skin–very pretty. I’ve been applying it with a duo-fiber brush and it’s like you can’t over apply it. The finish isn’t sparkly; it’s luminous.
The Courrèges Estée Lauder Collection is available now at select Estée Lauder counters nationwide, at Sephora and at www.esteelauder.com. If you like a modern, fashion-inspired spin on great makeup, this is a don’t miss!
