Neutral eyeshadow palettes are always a hot commodity–so versatile, goof-proof, in great combinations of colors. If you love a good neutral palette like I do, prepare to fall in love with the new Lancôme Auda[city] in Paris Eyeshadow Palette. It’s gorgeous!
Another neutral palette of itself isn’t earth-shattering news, but what sets the Lancôme Auda[city] Palette apart is that it was created by makeup artist and Lancôme Global Makeup Creative Director Lisa Eldridge. She creates absolutely beautiful looks for celebrities and magazine covers all over the world. And she is totally grounded, meaning I knew that this palette would be user-friendly, wearable and totally on-trend with what is happening in the fashion world. An amazing combination!
The Lancôme Auda[city] in Paris Palette was inspired by vignettes of Parisian life and includes 16 eyeshadows from soft neutrals to deep, smoky shades in both warm and cool tones. Important because whatever your coloring, you can come up with combinations that work.
I like how the eyeshadows are grouped into four shade harmonies, including Good Morning Paris (Filigree, Chouquette, Parfait and Kitten Heel), Ride & Promenade (Joie, Voyage, Sante and Tenacity) Unexpected Rendez-vous, (Exhibition Zip Me Up, Volcano and Clock Strikes 12) and Nuit Parisienne (Audacious, Couture, “It List” and Nuit). Also included is a full-size double-ended brush.
It’s been a while since I’ve used a Lancôme color product so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’ve been playing with the Auda[city] in Paris Palette and have been impressed with the quality of the eyeshadow. The colors are stunning, the pigmentation is excellent (so pigmented, just a tiny amount on the brush is needed) and the color payoff is great. Very little effort needed for a beautiful smoky eye, whether you want to take it to a lighter version for daytime or all-out drama using the colors at the far right for nighttime.
The Lancôme Auda[city] in Paris Eyeshadow Palette ($68) is well worth the money. It’s available at Lancôme counters including Macy’s, Sephora, ULTA, at Lancome-usa.com, where you will find tutorials for creating 12 different looks!
