The NARS Spring Collection, Nouvelle Vogue, includes:
Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow in Tarvos (icy mint), Kari (soft rose petal pink) and Cressida (shimmering midnight blue) $29
Hammamet Duo Eyeshadow includes Matte beige (L) and Bronzed rose (R), $35
Impassioned Blush (Pink orchid), $30
Lip Gloss in Instant Crash (soft shimmering apricot), $26
Lip Gloss in Vida Loca (Guava), $26
Rosecliff Lipstick (satin finish, soft rose), $28
Banned Red Lipstick (satin finish, mulled wine), $28
I was able to preview the NARS Spring Collection and loved what I saw. While some of the colors were bold–this is NARS after all, many are beautiful neutrals. The type of shades that look naturally gorgeous against a summer tan. The dimensional color in the Dual-Intensity eyeshadow is striking; wear this eyeshadow wet or dry. The Kari shade is a soft barely-there pink.
I especially like the Hammamet Duo Eyeshadow. As someone who has *a lot* of NARS Duos (I can’t resist the pairings), this Duo is not like any other combination I have. I would call it more of a “nude” and “blush” combination. As always, pigmentation is excellent. Impassioned Blush isn’t as pink as Sex Appeal. To me, it’s more of a pinky-flesh color and probably best suited for lighter skins. Although I was sure I had something similar to Vida Loca Lip Gloss, I don’t. My favorite NARS gloss is Corsica; that’s darker and rosier.
The NARS Spring 2016 Color Collection is available now in NARS Boutiques and at narcosmetics.com. It will be available Feb. 1st in department stores, including Nordstrom and Sephora. Are you tempted by anything in this collection?
