Lancome-Juicy-Shaker

One of the most fun recent beauty launches is the Lancôme Juicy Shaker; a pigment-infused bi-phased lip oil developed by Makeup Creative Director Lisa Eldridge (love her!). Juicy Shakers are the next generation Juicy Tubes; the amazing tubes of lip gloss that Lancôme put out in 2000. Everybody had to have at least one!

Lancome Juicy Shakers-grp

Lancôme Juicy Shakers certainly don’t look like any other lip product that I have; they’re adorable. Packaged with a nod to one of Lancôme’s vintage lipsticks that had a martini shaker silhouette, the first thing you notice is the separation of pigment and oils. Give a shake and you can see the oils and color pigments mixing up to activate.

Each Juicy Shaker has gorgeous pigments suspended in essential oils: Musk Rose Oil to sooth, antioxidant-rich Cranberry Oil to protect, Peach Oil to soften and nourish, and Almond Oil to leave lips supple. The bi-phased formula drenches lips in moisture, while the pigments melt into lips for a sheer flush of color that is buildable. And there’s a pillow-soft cushion to dab on just the right amount of lip color.

Lancome Juicy Shaker shades

There are 20 Juicy Shaker shades; many fruit-inspired, such as Apri-Cutie (orange with an apricot scent), Cherry Symphony (ruby shade with cherry scent) and Mangoes Wild (orange-pink with a mango scent). The cool blue shade, Mint To Be, acts as a lip beautifier. With Juicy Shakers you get the benefits of a lip balm, plus the shine and color of a gloss.

Juicy Shakers

In trying out the Lancôme Juicy Shakers, I have to say, I love the whole concept. The oil feels great on my lips; it’s not the least bit sticky. In terms of wear, it’s not a long-lasting wear. But for me, that’s ok. The lightweight oil is absorbed and I know it’s hydrating my lips. The pigmented color is best described as sheer; a flush. You can build it, so that it’s more like a stain. For best results, dab on with the point and fill in color with the side of the applicator.

Lancôme Juicy Shakers ($21 each) are available in department stores including NordstromSephora, and at Lancome.com. Have you tried them yet?
