Apparently Urban Decay wants us to live on the edge by daring us to use makeup that stays up all night; is that a challenge? 😉 New Urban Decay All Nighter Liquid Foundation is the ultimate long-lasting foundation. Inspired by the All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray, this foundation goes the distance.
All Nighter Liquid Foundation has one of the most complete formulas I’ve seen in a foundation. It’s waterproof and oil-absorbing, very pigmented (trust me, you don’t need much), with a true full-coverage, matte finish that doesn’t look “flat”, thanks to light-diffusing pigments. And it really is long-wearing.
I received a bottle of All Nighter Liquid Foundation in shade 3.5 (light with subtle pink undertone) for review purposes. I have a neutral undertone, and with the intense amount of pigmentation in All Nighter Foundation, while it seems like it would be close to the 3.25 (light with neutral undertone) I normally wear, this isn’t a shade that works for my skintone. My advice is to order the Urban Decay shade you usually wear, or get matched in-store.
That said, I really like All Nighter Foundation. I’ve always been a “no touchup” kind of gal, so this long-wear formula is everything. It easily goes 10+ hours; more when when set with the All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray. I found that no touchups were needed. I also like that whether I’ve prepped with a primer or not, on me the color stays true, and I haven’t experienced any oxidation. I have combination skin and like the oil-absorbing properties that All Nighter Foundation provides; especially nice in the warmer temperatures.
In terms of application, I’ve been applying All Nighter with my fingers and then buffing in with a foundation brush for an airbrushed, flawless finish. All Nighter Liquid Foundation ($40) is part of the Urban Decay Fall Collection, and comes in 24 shades. You can find it at Sephora, Ulta Beauty or at urbandecay.com.
