If you’re ready for a California-inspired celebration of all things boho and beautiful, you need to get your hands on the new Benefit GALifornia Blush! Channel your inner 70’s babe, because this blush celebrates Cali surfer girls.

Being the blush addict that I am, when I saw the first photo leaked on Benefit’s Instagram, I was all in. This gorgeous pink-peach-coral toned blush has a gold oversprayed shimmering sun…love! The color is that perfect shade of blush that everyone can wear; a blush for all the gals!

As far as pigmentation, I’d like to say GALifornia Blush was as creamy and pigmented as a NARS Blush, but the one I bought just isn’t to that level. It’s disappointing, because Benefit blushes are usually well-pigmented. To get the best color payoff, I had to use a slightly stiffer brush than normal to pick up and build color. I’ll continue to wear this blush regardless; I adore the color!

The packaging is definitely a 10/10. The GALifornia Blush, with the boho gal on the box, wearing her vintage sunnies and the colorful surf vibe just makes you happy to look at it. There is a slight vanilla-grapefruit scent; it doesn’t linger on application. I love the golden sunshine motif; it reminds me of a Guerlain bronzer. The overspray comes off in a few sweeps, but the tablet is still gorgeous.

The Benefit GALifornia Blush ($29) is available now at Sephora, ULTA Beauty and benefitcosmetics.com. Have you seen this yet? Let me know if you’re planning to buy it!

Editor’s Note: After reading of my experience with the GALifornia Blush, a representative of Benefit Cosmetics reached out, and offered to replace my barely-pigmented Blush with a new one. I received the new GALifornia Blush and am happy to report that this one has excellent pigmentation! I barely needed to swipe my brush across the tablet and could immediately see the difference. The new one has a creamier feel, with much better coverage and wear. Faith is restored and all is right with the world. Thanks, Benefit!
