The liquid lipstick trend is showing no signs of stopping, so I couldn’t have been more excited than when the box of Bobbi Brown Art Stick Liquid Lipsticks landed on my desk. I’ve always loved Bobbi’s lipstick formulas, and I was intrigued at how these liquid lipsticks would perform.

The Bobbi Brown Art Stick Liquid Lip sticks are a bit of a hybrid. They come in a tube that you squeeze, like a gloss. The finish is semi-matte to matte and opaque, like a lipstick. The texture is creamy, comfortable and lightweight, like a stain. And the color range is all Bobbi Brown.

The tube takes a little getting used to; you squeeze to get the lipstick to the top of the slanted applicator, then apply (you could use a lipstick brush if you wanted, but I didn’t find it necessary). In terms of wear time, I consistently got a minimum of several hours, usually longer; the darker shades wear especially well. That said, the overall pigmentation of the Art Stick Liquid Lip range is good; I like being able to see the true color through the clear tube. Once on, I found there to be minimal transferring. I love the variety of shades, a nice balance of neutrals and bold. There are 16 shades total.

Bobbi Brown Art Stick Liquid Lip ($28 each) is available at Sephora and BobbiBrown.com. Will you be giving these a try?
