M·A·C shows that they are the lipstick gods, with the new Metallic Lipstick Collection. Rich colour melds with smooth pearlized chrome. The luxurious formula is available in a full spectrum of shades, from the glint of gold in Modern Midas to the multi-dimensional blackened navy of Nightly Ritual.

Whether it’s that people are really into the 90’s throwback trend, or want to add dimension to their lips, or get the metallic lips that are all over Instagram…the look has never been hotter. If you’ve been wearing matte lipstick on repeat, change it up with one of these metallic shades. While M·A·C has always had metallic lipsticks in the line, the new Metallic Lipstick Collection gives us 18 shades to obsess over, from brights to neutrals. It’s a beautiful collection.

The M·A·C Metallic Lipstick Collection shades include:

  • Pearly One – confetti’ed white frost
  • Silver Spoon – multidimensional silver
  • Cold Front – frosted periwinkle blue
  • In Lust – light warm neutral

The full shade range of the M·A·C Metallic Lip Collection

My favorite neutral shades, from left to right include Act So Cool, Digging For Gold, In Lust, Jupiter, Modern Midas and Pale Rosé.

The coverage of these lipsticks is more sheer than full-on metallic, so I’ve been layering the lighter shades over another color, as a “topper”. That technique makes lips fuller, plus adds dimension. The look is rich color meets pearlized chrome. While M·A·C’s packaging is always on point, I wish they would have done the case in a full-metal jacket; a rare missed opportunity.

The M·A·C Metallic Lipstick Collection is available now and each shade is $17. You can find it in department stores, including Nordstrom and at maccosmetics.com. Are you into the metallics?
