Every day is a great day to wear a fragrance….but today is National Fragrance Day! Celebrate the day by finding a new scent for spring.  I always rotate my fragrances from winter to spring/summer, do you?

I love trying out new fragrances, and these are a few of my recent discoveries…

ESCADA Fiesta Carioca is a fruity floral; a scent category that continues to be strong. This happy fragrance was inspired by Brazilian Carioca and their unique zest for life and colorful festivities. When I wear a fragrance, I like to be transported to a far flung destination, or even a beach. The notes of the fragrance include Brazilian passion fruit accord, red raspberry, passionflower heart and a sensual drydown of base of musk and cedar wood. Wearing it reminds me of my recent vacation to sunny Cabo San Lucas. Love!

Angel Eau Sucree by Mugler was a pleasant discovery. This fragrance is considered a fruity gourmand, meaning it has notes of fruit and gourmand notes, which are “edible”, like notes of vanilla, honey, almond or chocolate [note: the original Angel fragrance was the first true gourmand scent!]. The original Angel fragrance has always been too strong for me, but Angel Eau Sucree is very wearable. It’s light, sparkling and with notes of red berry sorbet, carmelized merengue balanced with patchouli and vanilla, it melds to a sweet creation. I love the star-shaped bottle, too!

Blooming spring flowers for the ultimate flirt can be found in Victoria’s Secret Tease Flower. This is a fresh, floral fragrance with notes of Sugar Orchid, Springtime Tulips, and a dry down of Whipped Vanilla Cream. The fragrance has good wear time; it’s not light and floaty. Tease Flower is a sexy scent, and that extends to the bottle. I love the atomizer, the bright 3-D flowers and even the fishnets….giving you a little tease of what’s to come!

When I think of Spring, I also think of a tropical spring break vacation. Antica Farmacista must have read my mind, because their new spring scent is called Lush Palm. Lush Palm has fresh, green notes of Tahitian Gardenia, dewy banana leaf and wind swept palms. The Lush Palm Room Spray really does transport me…it makes me think of the ocean breeze meeting the palm trees in that tropical rainforest kind of way. Also available in a Home Ambience Diffuser and Candle.

Have you tried a new fragrance recently? Let me know in the comments. Happy Fragrance Day!
