It’s time to start thinking back to school, and for those heading to college, getting together a beauty box of essentials is the best way to stay organized. I’ve got recommendations on what to fill your beauty box with…read on for more.

A well-stocked beauty box should include personal care items, like body wash, deodorant and face wash; makeup essentials and a few fun indulgences. Here are my recommendations for your back to school beauty box:

Body Wash: I’m loving the Caress Tahitian Renewal Exfoliating Body Wash! Not only does it smell like a tropical vacation, it exfoliates. This one is super budget-friendly, too.

Yuni Shower Sheets are great to have on hand…for those mornings when the alarm didn’t go off and you have to get to class. These shower sheets instantly cleanse and refresh; they’re also great for post-workouts and travel.

CeraVe® Foaming Facial Cleanser is great for normal/oily/acne-prone skins. It foams up to effectively remove oil and makeup, while still hydrating the skin and not disrupting the skin’s protective barrier.

Because college can get stressful, you want a deodorant/antiperspirant that keeps you dry, but doesn’t stain clothes. I’m a big fan of Dove Invisible Dry Spray Antiperspirant; it goes on dry and invisible, and doesn’t leave white marks on 100 fabric colors.

For makeup, it’s basics that pop….

I can’t live without a good lip balm and Lanolips Lemonaid Lip Treatment is excellent. It thoroughly hydrates and exfoliates lips, keeping them soft. I love the lemony scent, too!

A tinted moisturizer is my go-to on the daily. Origins GinZing™ SPF 40 Energy-Boosting Tinted Moisturizer is formulated with caffeine to wake up skin, while protecting it with SPF 40 (read more).

A concealer (for all that late-night studying, wink wink) is a must. The new L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Glow Concealer has lightweight, buildable coverage and lasts throughout the day. I like the doe-foot applicator, which is small enough to enable you to use this to highlight the eyebrow area, too.

The Maybelline New York x Shayla Collaboration is out and you need it! The new City Mini Palette x Shayla is a mix of deep neutrals, gold and mauve shades. Add the Colossol Big Shot Mascara x Shayla in for major impact. Or, for a rainbow-brite look, pick up the PUR Cosmetics My Little Pony Palette. With 16 shades of pigmented eyeshadow, you’ll never run out of colorful combinations!

Give your makeup a passing grade with Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick. This is a matte, long-wearing formula with gorgeous saturated color, and it’s comfortable to wear. Plus, there are 20 shades to choose from!

Since I’m obsessed with highlighters, I have to include the new Physicians Formula Powder Palette Mineral Glow Pearls highlighter. It’s part of the new 80th Anniversary Collection and it’s beautiful! There is a fine glitter effect to it and the Pearl color is an iridescent pink shade. So pretty!

The perfect cat-eye is no problem with IT Cosmetics new Superhero Liner. This liner stays on for 24 hours and is waterproof. It has a unique brush tip (not felt); so you get a great look without needing to be super precise.

If you need your makeup to stay on all day, then try COVER FX Mattifying Setting Spray. It really helps prolong your makeup, plus reduces shine and minimizes pores. It’s alcohol-free, too!

Finally, to take off your makeup, I love the Pacifica Purify Coconut Water Cleansing Wipes. Infused with coconut water, papaya extract, aloe vera and calendula, this formula hydrates while removing makeup. If you have sensitive skin, I’d skip these as the papaya extract may sting.
