La Mer The Hydrating Facial Mask

The Hydrating Facial from Creme de la Mer is a luxurious sensorial, spa-like experience created to reawaken the appearance of youth.  The perfect prep to get skin ready or to withstand the harshities of the fall/winter climate changes, The Hydrating Facial is a two-zoned mask designed to deliver superior hydration.  In minutes, dry complexions are renewed, visibly transforming the skin. Skin is left hydrated, nourished, smoothed and conditioned with a resilient healthy glow.

I had the opportunity to try a sample of LaMer’s The Hydrating Facial and it really is transformative.  The Hydrating Facial is a set of two super-saturated spun-lace cotton masks, one for the upper zone (eyes, forehead) and one for the lower zone (cheeks, chin) of the face.  You apply each mask to the face and leave on for 8 minutes.  Remove the masks, pat in the remaining treatment over face and neck.  Seriously, I could not believe my eyes.  My skin was smooth, soft, supple and completely hydrated.  My skin looked amazing!

So how does  The Hydrating Facial deliver such remarkable benefits?  A trio of:

  • Super Hydrators:  Sea Moist Ferment, a special blend of dark green algae gathered from all over the world infuses skin with intense hydration.
  • Super Anti-Agers:  Marine plant algaes help to diminish visible signs of aging.  Cellular lipids and plant extracts provide a smoother skin texture.
  • Super Energizers:  Tourmaline and Mariponic Ferments energize and drive the formula into the skin, enhancing hydration.

Although  The Hydrating Facial is made for all skin types, if you have oily skin, I would say proceed with caution.  I have combination skin and while The Hydrating Facial was perfect for me to use now and through the winter, I suspect it would be too much in the summer.  If you have dry to very dry skin, you are going to adore this treatment product!

While the directions note that you could apply Creme de la Mer afterwards, I found my skin to be so hydrated and nourished, I didn’t need it.  Not only that, my skin felt like velvet all day; not just for an hour afterward.  The Hydrating Facial is definitely a splurge, but honestly, I felt this was comparable to a spa treatment.

LaMer’s The Hydrating Facial retails at $250 for 6 applications.  Retailers include select Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and
