The Lela Rose fashion show is always one of the most popular shows of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.  Inspired by a recent trip to the Galopagos Island, colors in shades of blue figured prominently in the Lela Rose Fall/Winter 2010 collection.

The tarte artistry team partnered with beauty.com and celebrity makeup artist, Tina Turnbow to create the celestial-inspired look for Lela Rose's Fall 2010 show.  The moonlit eye look featured a mysterious silvery/black smoky eye without edges and just a touch of blue, while the complexion and lips had a cloudy, hazy feel.

To get the look: The inner crease of the eye is
darkened up to the brow with the shimmery deep blue gray (eyeshadow in lucy I'm home). The
outer area is rounded, softly muted blackness. The center of the eye is
the lightest, with darker edges (inner and outer corner of eye) ending
in black (eye couture palette).

Apply blue lagoon
only in the center of the top and lower lids. Blend the blue into the
gray and then into a bit of the black. There should be a bit of the
blue and silver gray (eye couture palette) blended in the center of the lower lashline. Apply smolderEYES in the inner rim of the eyes. Top it off with a coat of lights, camera, lashes!
mascara on the top and bottom lashes (no curling needed). Leave
eyebrows-do not fill in. After finishing the eyes, clean underneath
with the eraser 4-in-1 natural concealer.

Skin was muted using smooth operator oil-free tinted moisturizer with SPF 20 one shade lighter than the model's skin.  Cheeks were warmed with blissful natural cheek stain, a peachy pink color.

Hair was by Ted Gibson and was described as polished
and sophisticated. "We did a french twist with a lot of texture used build it
blowdry spray and fix it gel all from ted gibson.
Backcombed hair and blew dry then tilted head over for a side-to- bottom french
twist. Finished with beautiful hold hairspray. The look is a modern and textured
french twist."

Nails were by Deborah Lippmann and in keeping with the sun, moon and stars theme, were polished with a sparkly turquoise shade called Across the Universe.  This shade will be in the Fall Collection–can't wait!
