This fall, Tom Pecheux brings to life the strong, intensely energetic makeup look he created at Derek Lam’s Fall runway show (see face chart below); one that perfectly tied together the design and fantasy of the clothing.
The Estee Lauder Blue Dahlia Pure Color Fall 2010 Collection features colors for smoldering eyes, shimmering lips and bold nails. The eyes take center stage in electric blue and vintage violet, lips are shimmering in subtle shades of pale pink and raspberry shine while rich nail hues of deep navy and iridescent lilac complete the look. As in past collections, there is a warm and cool look.
New this Fall is the Pure Color Five Color EyeShadow Palettes in Blue Dahlia (C) and Surreal Violet (W). Housed in a new, sophisticated compact, the eyeshadows are a mix of colors and textures. This compact really illustrates the impact that Tom Pecheux has on the Estee Lauder brand. What I like about this eyeshadow palette is the interesting color combinations and looks you can achieve. And I would buy the highlighting shade as a single, if it was available. $40
Pure Color EyeShadow in four new shades: Twilight Rose, Sepia Sand, Enchanted Meadow and Emerald Star. I’ve been using the Sepia Sand as my daily eyeshadow and it’s a perfect neutral. Glides on like silk, has nicely pigmented color–highly recommended. $42
For the lips: Pure Color Gloss Stick ($18.50) in Rose Dusk, Night Bloom, Orchid Dream, Mauve Mirage and Midnight Bloom. Pure Color Gloss ($20) in Rock Candy, Twilight Petal, Raspberry Pop, Star Pink and Midnight Bloom are also available. I love the Pure Color formulas; they feel great on the lips and aren’t drying.
For the nails: Pure Color Nail Lacquer in Blue Dahlia and Surreal Violet ($18) takes a slightly edgy turn for Fall. I have the Blue Dahlia and it’s a gorgeous shade. I’m not usually a blue lover, but this color looks great–not goth. What I love about Estee Lauder nail polishes is that they’re long-lasting and two coats gives great color and high shine. $18
